“Before I became a painter, I wrote fiction and poetry which probably explains my narrative approach to painting. I am pleased that people think my work is whimsical and fun." Dr. Elisabeth Kessler from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences wrote, "Kathy Beynette’s work comes with an enormous depth of human feeling attached. Fun and caring without sentimentality. Straight to the heart pieces."
Pomegranate Press has published several of Kathy's paintings as jigsaw puzzles and notecards and in 2013 they will feature her work in a 12-month wall calendar.
Kathy Beynette resides in Virginia and maintains a studio at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
