Melissa Widerkehr has been exhibiting her neo-surrealist paintings and drawings in the Washington, DC area since the early 90’s -- most recently at Touchstone Gallery. She has a B.A. from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA and has studied locally at the Corcoran School of Art. Melissa’s work most often starts out as a study in graphite on paper and then is translated onto canvas using oil as the medium. The images, as well their titles, are quirky and fun and provide a humorous outlook on life’s journeys.
