He began his career as a figurative painter and after many years of painting landscapes and cityscapes he returns to what he loves most.” “Painted on dimensional boxes, Paula identifies and immortalizes massive usually steel structures. She isolates the shapes as bold, hard-edged silhouettes, contrasting them against dreamy, watery, colorful, and textured backgrounds.” |
